Our Day Off!!

Today both our school districts cancelled school due to the ice storm that came through the area yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, now we won't get the Monday after Easter off. I really wanted that day off because Rylan's birthday is actually Easter Sunday this year. Anyway, we had a good, relaxing family day hanging out at the house. Rylan and Cody spent a good part of the day wrestling and playing in the living room. I feel like I've got a cold so I was able to get some much needed extra sleep today. Rylan also had a good time trying to raid the refrigerator today as you can tell by the pictures. All the ice has finally melted so I guess it's back to work tomorrow.

WE ALSO WANTED TO WISH NATALIE A HAPPY 29TH BIRTHDAY TODAY. WE HOPE ALL YOUR BIRTHDAY WISHES COME TRUE NAT!!

A Few Pictures

I know I haven't posted in a week, but I've been exhausted this past week. I am so thankful that I don't get morning sickness with my pregnancies, but I do get SO tired. When I was pregnant with Rylan I would come home from school and go to sleep on the couch until Cody got home. This time around I have a 21 month old to chase after when I get home. So, by the time we get him in bed at night all I want to do is go to bed myself. I can't complain though...I have a wonderful husband who does anything in the world to help me out, and I have a perfect little boy who I LOVE coming home to every afternoon!

He is ALWAYS happy! He very rarely gets grumpy and when he does it's almost always because he doesn't feel good.
No I am not trying to potty train him...YET! However, Rylan is obsessed with frogs. So, I saw this froggy potty at Target this weekend and I had to get it for him. He LOVES it!

Rylan's Big Announcement!

I'M GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER!!!
Yep, that's right, our baby is being "promoted" to big brother status. As most of you know we got Rylan after 2 in vitro attempts. So, we naturally thought we would have to go through in vitro again when we decided to have another baby. Well, God decided to remind us that He's in charge and to our COMPLETE surprise we found out on January 2nd that I am pregnant! We went to our first doctor's appointment today and we got to see the baby and a good, strong heartbeat on the ultrasound. My due date is now officially September 8th. Cody and I are so excited, and although we didn't plan on having kids this close together, we couldn't be happier! Please keep us in your prayers, especially as we get through the critical first trimester.

*Natalie - thank you for immediately coming over on Jan. 2nd with 2 more pregnancy tests because I didn't believe the results of the first one. I'll return the favor someday!

*Traci - thank you for the blue and pink "Baby's First Christmas" stockings. We can't wait to find out which one we'll be using next Christmas!

Blueberries!!

On New Year's Eve we went over to the Timmerman's house. During dinner Doak was so sweet and shared his frozen blueberries with Rylan. Rylan had never had them, and to be honest I really didn't think he would eat them since he's been a little picky about food lately. Oh, how wrong I was! He loved them! So I immediately went out and bought him a bag of frozen blueberries the next day, and they have been part of his meals ever since. Can you tell how much he enjoys them?!

Our Abilene Christmas

We got back to Abilene the evening of the 27th. We opened presents and had our Christmas dinner on the 28th with Cody's family. Rylan again made a haul on toys and we had a great time with everyone.

Rylan has become a Little Einstein fanatic so he got lots of "tine tines" this year.

While in Abilene we got his hair cut. Ms. Cindy (the lady that cut his hair) introduced me to Cookie Dough Hair Gel for kids. It is a must have for moms of little boys!

One of the highlights of Rylan's Christmas was getting his very first pair of Ropers and cowboy hat! He loves looking just like Papa!

He of course had to go help Papa feed the cows while we were in town.

We also took Rylan fishing for the first time. He thinks he's pretty big carrying the fishing pole.

Technically, daddy caught the fish, but Rylan helped reel it in.

The cows ate very good while Rylan was in town!

He made two best friends!

Apparently he really just needed a green bucket and a bag of cubes for Christmas!

Look how dirty he is!

Rylan with his cousin Anicia. She wasn't too sure about the cows at first, but he showed her how much fun it was to feed the cows.
