My boys in their shades

Look at that nose and tell me that isn't Cody's child!

Ok so it's not winter yet, but we couldn't resist trying it on.

Go Cougars!!!

Two happy boys after the big win!
I got a little crafty a few weeks ago and made this for Rylan to wear to daddy's games

Give me a C-O-U-G-A-R-S...what's that spell...COUGARS!!! Well, it is 11:30pm and I am waiting for Cody to get home from the big game. They got their first win of the season tonight against RL Turner. As you can see by the pictures Rylan was just as happy about the win as daddy was. Mommy however learned a very important lesson tonight...don't feed your baby prunes before going to a football game. Let's just say Rylan's "aroma" was enjoyed by all those around us tonight until I got him changed. Luckily the trusty Pampers held up well and a complete blowout was avoided. well, enjoy the pictures and hopefully will have another big win to report next Friday.

Bad to the Bone

Bad to the bone!

Thanks for the cool sunglasses Nonni
We really don't have any new news. Cody and the TCHS coaching staff are busy this week preparing for a Thursday night game. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the Cougars can get a big win this week. Rylan and mommy will be there cheering for daddy and the boys tomorrow night. Go Cougars!!

Just hanging out

I've been slacking when it comes to the blog lately, but we've had our hands full the last few weeks. Rylan was sick, Cody and I were sick, and the dog (our second child) swallowed yet another unidentifiable object which required surgery to remove it. Our island in the kitchen began looking more like a drug store than a place to prepare dinner...which I rarely use it for that purpose anyway. I think the cat was the only one in the house NOT on an antibiotic at the time. However, we are all doing better...including the dog.
This week is Cody's "off" week if you can really even call it that. All that means is there isn't a Friday night game, but the staff works just as many hours as if there was a game.
Today when I dropped Rylan off at the sitter's he cried for me when I left. This is the first time he's done that and it made me feel so sad about leaving him. However, I got the world's biggest smile when I came back to get him this afternoon.
Rylan has tried several solid foods now, but his absolute favorite so far is peas!! Who would have guessed?! He loves them and easily finishes off an entire jar of them during a meal. The peas have resulted in several "blow outs" with the diapers lately...once when he was sitting on my lap. Luckily we were at home when it happened.
I know I say this all the time on here, but I am constantly in awe that our Father can create something so perfect. I can't even begin to explain how much I love being the mother to a little boy! Natalie...I can't wait for Doak to get here so you can know exactly what I mean. You will be an amazing mother to a little boy and Rylan will soon have a best friend!!

Mommy's Sick Little Boy

The eyes say it all

He'd love to play if he could just feel better

It's been a rough week at our house. We have all been sick this week, but Rylan has had the worst of it. He started running fever last Saturday (9 days ago) and he's still a sick baby. Monday our pediatrician put him on an antibiotic for an ear infection. We thought he would get better, but the poor little guy just got more congested and more miserable. We ended up at Children's yesterday having a bunch of tests run. They did a chest X-ray which came back normal. They also catheterized him to get a urine sample and then drew blood and left IV access in case he needed fluids or antibiotics. He was a sad sight with his little arm board. All the bloodwork came back okay, but they did change his antibiotic for his ear infection. In the middle of the night he woke up with a 104.2 fever. RoRo (my mom) and Nonni (Cody's mom) got him wrapped in cool towels and his fever came down pretty fast. Unfortunately, his fever started coming up again this morning, but we got Tylenol in him before it got too high. He is so sleepy, but his little nose is so congested he can't get good rest. Nonni is going to stay through Wednesday because he obviously can't go to daycare like this. Hopefully with this new antibiotic he will start feeling better soon.
